After 15 years as Chief Mix Engineer at Sony Music Studios in Manhattan, successfully starting his own company and being one of the most in-demand mixers in our industry, Thom Cadley likes to keep a very low profile, (though it's not been easy!). "I prefer to let the quality of my work speak for itself. I've been fortunate to have worked on the music of amazing artists and am proud of the mixes I deliver. But at the end of the day it really should be the artist who people are talking about."

Of late, working in his private studio just outside of New York City, Thom has been busy as one of the main music mixers for the hugely successful Rock Band and Guitar Hero videogame franchises, as well as mixing live concert releases.

With all the news revolving around Phish's triumphant return to the live arena, Thom has mixed the incredible seven DVD set entitled The Clifford Ball (Rhino).

Currently, Thom is mixing songs for games by Harmonix/MVT, 4MM, Microsoft and DefJam. Recently, he mixed Robert Klein's upcoming 2010 HBO Special as well as Third Eye Blind's NYC Acoustic Concert in 5.1 surround sound.

On the "live" side, Thom mixed performances by the legendary Johnny Cash, R and B sensation John Legend, Phish and superstar female vocalists Mariah Carey and Beyonce. Thom also recently traveled to Orlando to record a special Disney Channel Concert starring Miley Cyrus (aka Hannah Montana), The Cheetah Girls and The Jonas Brothers and the landmark Muddy "Mississippi" Waters Live CD.

In fact, Thom's mixed one of the definitive 'live' records of all time: Live at the Atlanta International Pop Festival: July 3 and 5, 1970. This album contains the definitive lineup of The Allman Bros.Band including Gregg and Duane Allman as well as Dickey Betts and Berry Oakley. You can't miss the very best versions of The Allman Brother Band's "Whipping Post," "Mountain Jam, Pt. 1," "Dreams," "Statesboro Blues" and "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed". From the studio, Thom's mixed Alicia Keyes, The Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Metallica, The Allman Bros., Alanis Morissette, The Clash, Brad Paisley, Rod Stewart and many others.

During his career, Thom has won the prestigious TEC Award for his engineering work on The Concert For New York City; the Goya Award, Spain's equivalent of the Oscar, for the film Calle 54; and has been nominated for an Emmy for An All-Star Tribute To Johnny Cash.

Thom's mixes on the PBS series Sessions At West 54th is considered to be the benchmark for music mixing for a television concert series. Many other projects he has worked on have gone on to be nominated for and win Grammy Awards.
